And So I Wait

I like to spread the love, and upvote often, especially when someone comments on one of my posts. I also like voting at 100% so I can reward people as much as possible (even with my measly offering). I don't even know what I give at 100% anymore, as it's been so long, and I'm not keen enough to figure it out.

Although Steemit consensus is that you can make a comment without upvoting, to preserve your voting power, I feel uncomfortable doing this. I can't just comment, I have to upvote too!

In short, I basically killed my voting power. It will take over 70 hours to return completely. So, if you don't hear from me for a while, that's why. I'm going to try to stay away and take a weekend off.

If you leave a thoughtful comment on this post, just know I will be compelled to upvote it, and it will take even longer. There. You know my weakness. Don't destroy me. ;)

Much love, snowpea ❤

Hi! :) Thanks for checking it out for me... I could've sworn I was voting at 9¢ at one time...maybe I'm just dyslexic haha!!

You have to let your VP recover once in a while and it's a a good plan to not go lower than 60%. Another issue related to this is bandwidth, and if you lose bandwidth you could get locked out of posting, and voting all together. From what I've read, at that point you'll have no option but to get some SP delegated to your account to get going again. There are several sites that will list your VP and bandwidth. Not telling you what to use, but I get my info from Steemworld dot org. It lists your VP right on the first page, your bandwidth under account details, and it provides a convenient way to track responses to any comments you have made. Greetings!

Keeping my voting power up is definitely a struggle for me. Thankfully I don't have any problems with bandwidth because I use Steemit on my smartphone. 😊 Thanks for your comment!! :) I'll have to check out that website sometime, currently my go to website is steemnow, but it sounds like the one you use is more detailed.

Unfortunately this bandwidth has nothing to do with wireless transmission, but with your activities on the platform, regardless of the device you are using.

Oh, I see, well I never got low to my knowledge, and steemworld showed a pretty high number. I'm a noob, so the more active you are, the more your bandwidth goes down?

That is correct. Writing the previous comment to you, my bandwidth dropped 2%. There are other factors, but I do not know what they are. When I post, or comment a lot it will drop in to the 80 or 70% range and recover after a period of inactivity.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info! :)

Oh no! Haha Well, one thing is for sure...I love upvoting even if my little bit doesn't even reach a full penny! So I really appreciate ALL the voting you do! P.S. You don't have to upvote this...you can save it for one of my posts on Monday! Haha

You'll get there! I was sooo excited when I started giving a penny. I have to upvote it though, it's a compulsion haha!

Haha it's almost like muscle memory!

True. ;P

Haha.
Make the best of your time away from Steem and enjoy the real world. Or Binge-watching Netflix is always my go to. Before you know it, you’ll be handing out votes again.

I'm sure I'll figure something out. :)
