Equal opportunity?
Apparently not. They were offered the exact same pay structure last time and this time. They turned it down last time and they're fighting it this time. Even though the women's team only achieved bronze at the Olympics, we have every reason to believe that an equal pay structure will result in the women making more than the men.
Equal outcome when it comes to pay?
Apparently not. They made $6 million more as a team during the last World Cup than the men. Each player on the women's team got a six figure salary during the 2020 season while the men got nothing.
Alex Morgan was trying to shift "equal" to "fair" in her last statement.
Can you define fair?
Nobody seems to have the guts to ask that hard-hitting question.
