Many people hear one trillion dollars, but they do not realise just what that number is, so here are a few examples. (29/3/2020 the US National Debt is 23,609,000,000,000 - But I use the lower number of 23 trillion).

For the INDIVIDUAL
Most people can imagine $1 million.

For 1 Trillion
An INDIVIDUAL can spend $1 million every day for ... 2,739 years
For the US National Debt
An INDIVIDUAL can spend $1 million every day for ... 63,013 years

For 3 billion poor people on Earth
More than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day (Many of these a lot less)

For 1 Trillion
All these people can 'live' for 133 days
For the US National Debt
All these people can 'live' for 3066 days (8 years 4 months)

Feeding the World
For 1 Trillion
Buys 4,650 million tons of wheat (775kg for every person on Earth)
Buys 141 lbs of apples (for every person on Earth)
Buys 61kg of coffee (for every person on Earth)

For the US National Debt
Buys 106,975 million tons of wheat (17,825kg for every person on Earth)
Buys 3,248 lbs of apples (for every person on Earth)
Buys 1,404kg of coffee (for every person on Earth)

What about housing???
For 1 Trillion
133,333,333 (500 square foot homes - US prices) One house for every 45 people on Earth)
For the US National Debt
3,066,666,666 (500 square foot homes - US prices
) One house for every 2 people on Earth)

  • Many other countries have much lower costs.

This is ONLY the US National Debt, other countries have their own National Debt.

WHY should there be EVEN ONE hungry person???
WHY should there be EVEN ONE homeless person???

The resources of the world are for everyone to share, there is an abundance of everything, everyone should have food and shelter.
