Why don't Musk become the Speaker of the United States? After the House of Representatives vetoed th

On Thursday, the US House of Representatives rejected Speaker Johnson's proposed temporary funding bill with 235 votes to 174, with only one day left until the expiration of the previous temporary funding bill.

Previously, Johnson had proposed a plan that would garner more support from the center and Democrats, but due to numerous costly additional clauses, it sparked strong dissatisfaction from the conservative side of the Republican Party and even drew criticism from Musk and Vice President elect Vance.

Under strong pressure from the Trump camp, Johnson had to activate his Plan B and replaced it with a cleaner spending proposal three hours before the vote, allocating about $100 billion for disaster relief and about $10 billion for farmer economic assistance, while removing 1500 pages of additional policy clauses from the original agreement. However, this has also led to collective disdain from the Democratic Party.

Democrats say the bill is ridiculous and includes a provision called by Trump to suspend raising the two-year debt ceiling. Reducing the US public debt, even after Trump took office, is seen as one of the most significant challenges, and before Trump took office, Democrats were clearly unwilling to give in easily.
