I have to shake my head at the idiocy of the world these days and since I live in the United States, mostly at the idiocy of my own nation and some (perhaps most) of the people in it. It seems that almost anything can be shut down or cancelled due to basically anything, but in this particular situation it is happening because people are friggin stupid and don't know anything about history.

I don't think I am too far off the mark when I say that most people probably look at the above image and think exclusively about Hitler, Nazis, concentration camps, and evil. What these same people obviously don't know is that Hitler took this imagery from Buddhism and the symbol has existed for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years.
Hidden Villa in Los Altos, California had to shut down all summer activities which affect 900 children because some ignorant social justice warrior staffers refused to accept the fact that the swastika was a relic brought over from Asia in 1913, long before Nazism was even a widespread thing.

so many white supremacists are in Taiwan
These overly sensitive idiots missed a wonderful opportunity to teach kids that the history of the swastika and to teach them about the evils of Nazism at the same time but no! Let's just remain ignorant AF. God forbid we actually learn anything because: feelings.
Let's not tell the kids that the swastika was originally (and still is in many cultures and religions) a symbol of prosperity and good luck. Let's just tell them that it is exclusively about white power so if they ever do get their ignorant asses over to Asia they will be appalled about how much white power there is in China, Japan, India, Nepal and a bunch of other Asian countries. These same people will probably wonder why it is that there is so much white supremacy in countries with very few actual white people.

even rural places in Asia are overrun with white supremacists
When the camp workers decided to complain about it, the management almost immediately chose to remove the ancient relic as a response but then the workers quit anyway. It's almost as though they don't actually have any real conviction but just want attention. It really wouldn't surprise me if these same people are virtue signaling all over social media. If so, I hope there are enough people out there that will point out how completely absurd their actions are.
Camp assistant director Mimi Elias, who is a queer person of color, told the newspaper, “Every day I had to go to my place of residence and had to look at swastikas and walk beneath them.”
We just couldn't talk about Mimi without telling her specific qualifications for being insulted. Will a lawsuit for emotional distress be incoming? It wouldn't surprise me since that is where a lot of these things end up.
Things like this are making an entire generation of people ignorant, weaker, and less skilled. It doesn't really surprise me that this is coming from California though because of all the crazy that exists in the United States that place is contently vying for that number one slot.
The really sad thing is that the Hidden Villa camp is already heavily involved in activism and regularly has features about LGBTQ+ awareness, Black History Month, and civil rights initiatives. The also focus on providing these camps to poorer residents of the state, primarily minorities. Yet this was not enough to placate the crazy masses who will never be pleased. I'm starting to think that they don't really want any resolutions, they just want to be mad and get attention directed at themselves. Well I hope they get some - but not the kind they are hoping for.
they had to mention "queer person of color"

yeah, they did it more than once in several other articles. It seems that this camp really went out of their way to hire minorities and members of the Alphabet people.... and what happens next? Drama and the staff turn on the owners.
