United States Army Chief General John Nicholson has said that Afghanistan is supporting the Taliban and providing arms to them.

In an exclusive interview with the BBC, Nicholson said he had witnessed this unstable work of Russians.

He said that Russian arms are coming to the hands of the Taliban fighters on the Tajik border. But the US officials did not say how much weapons are coming.

Russia has blamed such allegations in the past because there is no basis for these allegations. And now US military officer Nicholson again accused Russia of supplying arms to the Taliban again.

The allegations were made during Russia's dispute with the US and other countries, including the United Kingdom, in connection with a former Russian spy case.

Nicholson said, "We've seen stories from the Taliban in the media on economic support from Russia. The Afghan leaders gave us the same weapons as they told us that Russia's weapons were coming near the Taliban. We know Russia is involved. "

Nicholson said that he believes that the direct involvement of Russia with the Taliban is relatively new.

Nicholson acknowledged how much he is helping Taleban to help Russia.

However, senior police officials and military officials from Afghanistan told the BBC that Russia's supply of goggles, medium-sized and heavy machine guns and small-scale watches in the dark of night.

During the 1980s, during the Russia-Afghan war, there was a complaint against the United States of the Taliban. And now he is making the same complaint to the United States against Russia.

Kate Clarke, an analyst at Afghanistan Analysis Network, said that the issues related to Taliban and Russia's interests may now be more involved with each other.

Moreover, with the support of the Taliban, Russia may seem to get more geopolitical benefits.
