Lincoln opens the age of dollars

I believe that through the American Civil War, the United States has transformed into a new country separate from Europe.

In the eighteenth century, the United States became independent from Britain but was still dominated by British money and technology. British pounds of money were used in the United States.

Although the United States was politically independent, it was economically dominated by Britain.

When the British Industrial Revolution was complete, large cotton farms appeared in the southern United States, exporting cotton to England. Southern whites enjoyed wealth and power because they used black slaves to plant cotton on southern American farms.

With the export of cotton to England, the southern whites lived like royalty and aristocracy in Europe.

It is famous for the fact that Southern Americans at the time imitated the French palace of Versailles, dances and dresses. The southern portion of the United States was agricultural, while the northern portion of the United States was industrial and commercial.

The south of the United States enjoyed wealth and power through cotton farms that used black slaves, but the north of the United States did industry and commerce, so there was no need for black slaves.

Thus, the north insisted on abolition of slavery, while the south opposed. Condemning the black slavery of the United States in Europe, the North insisted on abolition of slavery for its international standing.

This confrontation between the northern and southern parts of the United States was aggravated when the gold mine in California was discovered. People went west in search of the gold mine, and the territory of the United States expanded westward. Every time a new state joined the Union, there was debate about whether to allow slavery in the new state.

When Lincoln, a Republican who opposed slavery, became president, the South left the Union and seven states formed the Confederacy. The Confederacy declared that the federal government would leave the Union because it violated state independence and freedom. The federal government declared the South a national traitor, saying that the South had violated the Constitution.

When the American Civil War broke out, a lot of warmoney need. During the Civil War, the United States used different currencies in different states. During the Civil War, the United States used different currencies in different states. In each state, 16,000 private banks issued 7000 types currencies and 5000types  counterfeits.

American states issued different currencies, and there were many counterfeits, so gold, silver and British silver were more trusted. Lincoln anticipated that anyone who unified and controlled American currency could win the war.

Lincoln was very economically capable. He makes a law in the federal government that recognizes the prevailing greenback as a formal currency. Lincoln's monetary policy resulted in federal money dominating the entire United States. So, the money of the Confederates became worthless, and the Confederacy went bankrupt.

Lincoln's outstanding economic capabilities make the federal government triumphant.

I believe Lincoln is the greatest American because he united the United States into a dollar economy.

Through the Civil War, the United States was unified into the dollar economy, so it could grow apart from Europe and become an independent country.

I think Christianity did not unite America, but the dollar did.

The best weapon currently leading the US world is the dollar. So, the United States is winning the economic war with China.

I find your perspective on American history to be quite enlightening. I never made the connection between the advent of the dollar and the end of the Civil War, but with the connections you've drawn, it makes sense.
