The administration of the city of Williston in North Dakota has entered into an agreement with Coin Cloud to install a cryptocurrency terminal at the Williston Basin International Airport (XWA).
"This event marks the installation of the first cryptocurrency terminal by the authorities and the first Coin Cloud terminal at the airport," the administration said. – This is an ambitious step to familiarize and attract citizens to the cryptocurrency sphere. Coin Cloud terminals support the purchase of more than 40 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Cardano and Ethereum. It is also possible to withdraw digital assets into cash.
The authorities of Williston stressed that they are not responsible for storing cryptocurrencies and conducting transactions, as these are the duties of the operator. In May, the city signed an agreement with Bitpay to accept cryptocurrencies to pay for utilities.
Earlier, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced his intention to start distributing dividends among the residents of the city in bitcoin.
