Yam pottage
Yam pottage popularly known as 'ikokore' in the local name can be made by peeling off the water yam grating it. After grating, get a pot of desired amount of water on fire, the size of the water yam to be prepared determines the amount of water, add fish and all necessary things you will like to use such as cray fish, etc. Thereafter u mix the grated yam with salt and seasoning. Then you take the grated yam in morsel and put in the boiling water on fire, leave to boil on medium heat for about 20minutes, then add palm oil, leave for another five minutes, turn intermittently and your yam pottage is ready.

Yam freetles
Yam freetles popularly know as 'ojojo' . I will dwell much more on this. You go to market get your water yam, on getting it, get home peel it off and grate it.
The pictures above shows the peeled water yam, a grater and a sample of grated yam.
After grater the yam, you add the fish, crayfish to desired amount.
Then you need a fry pan and a good quantity of groundnut oil.
On adding the crayfish, don't forget to add salt and seasoning. Thereafter you take in morsel and put in the hot groundnut oil and on medium heat then turn intermittently until golden brown .
