At 'that' age...even a 'few' year sentence can equate to a 'LIFE' sentence...It is a shame, unless the offense was serious and the individual may be a danger to the public.
The US Gov. benefits by the poor guy loosing his Social Sec. check while locked up $$$$ Maybe the plan is to lock up as many seniors as possible to help balance out the SSA deficit?
