Looking at the way technologies operate now most especially on mobile phones, the Android operating system now has gone far above any other operating system to the extent of allowing every available application on the mobile phone to work together at the same time at the expense of the user by either updating information or versions. 80% out of the Android applications are been updated with one or two things daily, weekly or Latest monthly.

Problem Overview

At times, users of Android phones need to lock some application on their mobile phones from accessing the internet for one reason or the other.
Most times the internet package bundles might be so costly that one will intend to manage the data to run on it for weeks, months, but some unused application has used more data than the frequently used ones which could be so frustrating.
For example: My child is playing games using my smartphone, he might mistakenly tap on some appeared Ads in the game, buy/paid, apps /games, make in apps purchase, pay for access to new levels, weapons, tools and many more that could make me lose 80% of my data bundle.
In order for me to prevent this from happening, what I must do is to get an internet lock application that will enable me to lock most of my application from accessing the internet connection.
This is why most users desire to use an application that will provide these layers security.

NetGuard is an android application that provides simple and advances a way to block access to the internet with no root required. NetGuard is an application that allows individuals to perform the task of denial and access of Wi-Fi / Mobile connection of an application and addresses.

Benefit of NetGuard

  • Reducing Data usage

  • Increases privacy

Saving of Battery

The rate as at which battery is been drained could be annoying, most users find it surprising that How could my battery drain so fast? without understanding that most installed applications are battery drainer on their own due to their work rate on the smartphone.

For example: Using your smartphone to perform minor tasks such as sending text messages, but you noticed that with that little time of sending text messages you have lost up to 15% out of 100% of your battery. This is a bad experience because most users would think the mobile phone battery is bad and they will have no choice than to replace it with a new one but after getting this replacement they will still complain about the same issue. Users most time feel discouraged and lastly decides to abandon the smartphone.
Using the NetGuard application to lock many unused applications will stop them from running with the internet and the same time put a hold on their functioning. This will save battery life from draining unnecessarily.

Reducing Data Usage

This is the major reason I use the NetGuard, I am able to lock most of my application from running on the internet whenever my data is on. For real mobile data can be very expensive and ever increasing amount of application need access to the internet.
Many of the application load along with features such as Background Data, Cache Data, and many more that wipe away mobile data unnecessarily.
Using the NetGuard allows me to lock many unused applications from accessing the internet and that has then since reduced my smartphone data usage.

Increase Privacy

Experiencing a poor user’s interface could be so annoying that will allow users to spend hours, days before getting to understand whatever the features are used for. NetGuard is not like that because it is very simple to understand in less time.

Conclusion

NetGuard is a way ahead of other similar applications because it gives true privacy and the application is able to lock other system applications without the need for upgrade or payment for additional features.

Hello, @adewararilwan!

Thank you for this contribution. This is a very useful tool, and one that I've personally used, so I appreciate the fact that you took the time to promote this tool with an interesting blog post.

On the content side, this was a mixed bag for me. Even though I like all the information provided, I have to admit that I wanted to read a bit more about the project and its key features. I also wanted to read more about your personal knowledge, views and experience with this application. Regardless, the post contains useful information about this project, and I appreciate the effort you put into your work.

That said, the post did have issues of style and proofreading, and I think that an additional edit pass might have helped significantly. I would be happy to cite a few of them in a follow-up comment, if you wish.
