A. INTRODUCTION

  1. Background Of The Problem
    The history of the nation, a chain that is missing from history books in schools and forgotten, and forced to stay. Aceh in the course of the history of the Republic of the beloved have given the sacrifice that is so big and has demonstrated loyalty, nationalism and patriotism which is very high against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
    Therefore, the history about the Hero of the Aceh deserves to be immortalized so that it can be taken a lesson by generations to come. With the development of the manufacture of the 3D-Animated film, the history of the Heroes of Aceh can be presented in the form of video or 3D animation movie which will surely make people more interested to find out.
    Therefore the author chose the title the Making of a 3D Animated Story of Teungku Daud Bukit. 3D animation will try made by using the Blender app.

  2. The Formulation Of The Problem
    Based on the background above, the problem can be formulated :
    a. How to design and create a 3D animated Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh?
    b. How to make lip movements match the sounds when the figures are there in the animated film talk ?

  3. Limitation Of The Problem
    To be more focused, then writing this final project in the restrict by some of the following points :
    a) Design and create a 3D animated Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh.
    b) Display a dialog between President Soekarno with Teungku Daud Bereueh.
    c) the Animation duration ± 7 minutes.

  1. The Purpose Of The Research
    The purpose of this study is to learn more about how modeling the characters/objects, how to give texture, how to rigging a character, and also how to do the rendering. Then the authors take the title story of Teungku Daud Bereueh is to convey to the public the persistence of teungku Daud

  2. The Benefits Of Research
    The benefit of this thesis is the 3D Animation “the Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh” is expected to be useful for the community to be more familiar with the figure of the Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit and can take the example of the struggle he.
    The making of 3D animation “the Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh” it can increase knowledge of the author in the field of history and also animation, such as modeling objects, give texture on the object, and so forth.
    The making of 3D animation “the Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh” can provide information for researchers/prospective researchers as a reference material which can be further developed development of the concept and the material more as well as can supplement the reference library academic.

  3. A Road Map For Research
    Of the few journals that become the reference the author to complete this final project. The author can summarize the core of the journal entitled “the Making of 3D Animation Movie Three Dwarf guardian of the Forest” by Ahmad Muamar Saleh, Melwin Syafrizal. (2013), in his research the author tried to introduce software Blender 3D free license maker animation.To further support the presence of animation in Indonesia, the author tries to make a work simple animation titled "the Three Dwarfs" using the software Blender.
    In 2011 Yunita Syahfitri students of the University of STMIK Triguna Dharma has been completing the final project entitled “the Technique of Film Animation In the Computer World”. in his research the author describes the development of the multimedia world is very fast and produces a lot of
    inspiration for designers to develop themselves in order to face stiff competition in their world. One of the areas that has been a media competition between the designer is
    the production of animation.
    In 2014 Nuzul al Fitr students of Poly Technique Negeri Lhokseumawe finish the final project entitled “ the Making of the Animated Film the Kingdom of the King Jeumpa Using the Linear Interpolation Method”. In this final animated film the kingdom of the King Jeumpa is a one of a kind animated character 3D shaped which aims to tell the story.
    In 2013 Juntonchoniv and Yudi Windarto, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Department of Informatics, Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana Jakarta has completed the thesis entitled, “the Making of 3D Animation Movie Folklore The Legend Of Toba Like”. In his research the author describes the moral values and culture of the nation into a thing that can be inserted into the animated film.
    In the year 2015 Muhammad Z. Buchari, et al students of the University of Ratulangi University, has completed the thesis entitled, “Design 3D Video Animation For the Mechanism of Testing of Motor Vehicles In the Department of Transportation. Culture, Tourism, Communication And Information” in his research the author explains on the making of the 3D animation process starts with a set of ideas and themes, interview, collect data to design a storyboard. After that do the process of modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, camera operation up to at the stage of rendering uses the application blender and makehuman to then become pieces of a scene from videos of animated 3-Dimensional.
    In 2016 Muhammad Ilham student of University Islam Negeri, Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta. has completed the Thesis entitled “the Role of the Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh revolt in Aceh years 1953-1962”. The Early days of independence in Aceh in the years 1953-1962 be the beginning meletusya bloody events led by Teungku Daud Brereueh in enforcing Islamic law in Aceh. The struggle which was considered a permberontakan appears due to the disappointment of the people of aceh against the central government due to the promises of the pseudo pronounced by Sukarno, who served as President when it never materialized.
    While in this thesis the author makes the 3D Animation “the Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh”, where the application that will be used is Blender 2.7, the study aims to convey to the public the story of the Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit heroes as well as scholars of charismatic Aceh striving to build Aceh with islamic sharia law.

  1. Systematics
    To facilitate the translation of problems encountered, then the writing of the final project proposal is divided into several chapters, namely:

CHAPTER I : INTRODUCTION
This chapter discusses about background, problem formulation, objectives, problem definition, research benefits, and a road map for research.
CHAPTER II : LITERATURE REVIEW
Outlines the theory as the theory supporting this thesis.
CHAPTER III : RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Discuss the description of the method of designing the system.
CHAPTER IV: RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Discuss about the results and implementation of the system designed in CHAPTER III as well as the results of the discussion of the application.
CHAPTER V : COVER
Outlines the conclusions from the results and analysis in chapter IV, as well as the suggestions that are needed for further refinement.

B. LITERATURE REVIEW

  1. The Story Of The Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh
    Teungku M. Daud Bukit born on 15 September 1899 in a village called "Bukit", the area Keumangan, Aceh Pidie. Kampung Bukit is a village heroic Islam, the same as the village of Tiro. His father was a cleric influential in the village and got a degree from the local community with the title "Imeuem (priest) Bukit". Teungku Daud Bukit grow and great in the religious is very strict. He grew up in a formative age that is loaded with Islamic values where almost every evening Hikayat perang Sabil echoed in each of the meunasah (kampung). He also entered adulthood under the shadow of the keulamaan his father a very powerful inspiring step in his life then.
    His parents gave the name of Muhammad Daud (two names of the holy Prophet who is given his book the qur'an and Zabur). From the naming of this are already visible, indeed, desired his parents is when a large later he was able to change the position of himself as a muslim scholar and mujahid who is ready to defend Islam. Therefore, in times of school age, his father did not enter he to the educational institution official that made the Netherlands such as: Volkschool, Government Indlandsche School, or HIS. But is entrusted to the institute of education which has long been built when the Islamic empire was semodel dayah/zāwiyah. That animates his father is the spirit of anti-Dutch/invaders are still very strong. Especially when that Aceh is still in the atmosphere of war in which the echo of the Hikayat perang Sabil still loud in the ears of the people of Aceh.
    Though don't get Dutch education, but with the intelligence and speed of thinking, he is able to absorb all the knowledge given to him, including the Dutch language. His habit of consuming fish, which is the habit of the people of Aceh, has made it a quick-learner (able to learn quickly).
    This extraordinary ability, mostly because he felt studying is mandatory. Then learn about everything, dipersepsikannya almost the same with "prayer". In a very young age, 15 years old, he already mastered the Islamic sciences in depth and practice it consistently. With the soon also he became a great orator, as "the lion of the podium." He achieved considerable popularity as widespread as one of the scholars in Aceh. Because of that, he got the title "Teungku in Bukit" which then people don't often mention the name of the original he, but the name of his village. The fame of a hero in Aceh has always attached to the charism of his community. The village is a political entity whose influence is characterized by figures of resistance. From this fact, one who is born of an entity resistant, will never stop the fight before unattainable ideals. Although the opposing party is using all resources and efforts to silence resistance.   2. Multimedia
    Multimedia, in terms of language, consisting of 2 words, i.e. multi and media. Multi has the meaning many or more than one. While media is the plural of medium, also be interpreted as a suggestion, container, or tool. The term multimedia can be interpreted as the transmission of data and manipulation of all forms of information, either in the form of words, images, video, music, numbers, or handwriting in which in the computer world, the form of the information processed from and in the form of digital data.     Multimedia is a combination of computer and video, or multimedia in general is a combination of three elements, namely: sounds, images, and text On the other hand, multimedia is a combination of at least two media input or output of data, in which the media can be either audio, animation, video, text, graphics, and images, or multimedia is a tool that creates a presentation that is dynamic and interactive mengobinasikan text, graphics, animation, audio, and image, video.

  3. Understanding 3D Animation
    Understanding of the Animation According to the Ibiz Fernandes in his Macromedia Flash Animation & Cartooning: A creative Guide, animation is defined as follows : “Animation is the process of recording and playing back a sequence of stills to achieve the illusion of continues motion” (Ibiz Fernandez McGraw - Hill/Osborn, California, 2002). The meaning is : “Animation is a process of recording and playing back a series of static images to get an illusion of movement.” Based on the literal sense, the Animation is animating. Which attempt to move something that cannot move itself
    The type of animation that is widely known is 2D animation and 3D visuals. The difference in animation 2D and 3D visual is seen from his point of view. 2D animation using x and y coordinates, while the 3D animated visuals using the coordinates x, y and z that allow us to view the angle of view of the object is more real.
    Character animation is a technique of depiction and processing of the character of either 2 dimensions or 3 dimensions so that the role/character are made as if of life and nature as living beings. To make the character seem as if alive, should be some animation in accordance with the nature and characteristics of living things. So that animated characters look more real then also needed 3D modeling (Hamida Nur Hidayati, 2014).
    The process of 3D modeling requires the design of which is divided by several stages for its formation, namely :
    a. Motion Capture/2D Model
    b. The basic Method of Modeling 3D
    c. The Process Of Rendering
    d. Texturing
    e. Image and Display

  4. Blender
    Software Blender is a free software multifunctional 3D Modelling, Animation, Video Editing, Compositing, and even Gaming. Blender used professional animators, graphic designers, architects, interior designers, product designers, video editors / effects, game programmers etc. Its popularity in indonesia already beat his senior 3D Studio Max and Maya. C. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
In the methodology of this study, will be discussed in detail about what should be used to form a 3D animated story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh.

  1. Data Collection Methods
    Data collection methods used in this study are as follows:
    a. Data collection by collecting journals, papers and readings related to the research title as well as online resources on the Internet that can be trusted.
    b. Observation of data Collection by research and direct observation on the method of quadratic Spline in the animation of the kind that already exist and review has been done.
  2. The Analysis Of The System Requirements
    In designing the animated Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit need to consider needs in terms of tools and research materials. Research tools include Hardware (Hardware) and software (Software).
    a. Hardware (Hardware)
    The hardware used for the process of making this animation is as follows :

  3. 500GB Hard drive
  4. 2GB OF RAM
    b. Software (Software)
    Software required for the making of this animation are as follows :

  6. The Application Makehuman

  1. Data Collection
    In the study required the data-supporting data which is obtained by a method of collecting relevant data. Data collection methods used for the research are as follows: Literature Study In this method, the data collection is also done by way of studying books supporters, including in it about writing and about the things that support the creation of animation. Aside from books, the necessary data are also derived from other sources, such as the internet.
  2. Design Methods
    Choose a model in 3D modeling animation Teungku Daud Bereueh. At this stage the selection of the 3D model that will be used as the object.

    As for the general design for the animation “the Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh” can be seen in figure 1 below :

b. Design animation

  1. the idea of the story
    The idea of the story is the element of the story, the Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit and characterizations in this animated video the Story of Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit will be included as part of the story. Based on the objectives to be achieved, the authors determine some aspects of the story as follows :
    (1) Tells the main character as charismatic Heroes of Aceh.
    (2) Describe the struggle of the people of Aceh in the Dutch colonial period.
    The authors determine the number of characters in the story into four people, as for the characters that will be created namely :
    (1) Teungku Daud Bereueh
    Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit is the main character of this animated film, he is Charismatic Heroes Aceh who led the forces of the Aceh war against the Dutch
    (2) President Sukarno
    The First president of Indonesia who visited direct Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit to ask for help Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit to join the fight against the Dutch.
    (3) The Dutch Army
    The author will also make some of the characters of the Army of the Dutch who colonized Indonesia.
    (4) Community Leaders
    The author will make some of the community leaders who fought against the Dutch.

  2. Synopsis / Script
    The synopsis is an overview of the whole story rough from the story of the film. In this animation the author make about the story of the Struggle Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit in the war against the Dutch.
    The synopsis / script of the animation “the Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh” is as follows :
    Scene 01 : the Opening animation.

    Scene 02 : Display Biography Of Teungku Daud Bereueh
    Audio : Narration said “Teungku Muhammad Daud Bukit original named Muhammad David he was born on 17 September 1899 in a village called "Bukit", the area Bereunun, the District of Aceh Pidie, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh is a controversial figure who populeh among the people of Aceh, in the struggle to uphold and raise the banners of idlam in Aceh due to a sense of ketikpuasannya against the Sukarno government.
    Scene 03 : the Dutch go to Indonesia
    Audio : the Narration Said “In his efforts to colonize Indonesia, the Dutch broadcast news through the newspaper, radio that his arrival was not to colonize Indonesia but rather to maintain the security caused by the world war II”.
    Scene 04 : the Dutch began to Colonize Indonesia
    Audio : the Narration Said “in Addition through the propaganda of the Netherlands also undertook military aggression armed that occurred in the year 1947-1948. A result of the attack almost the entire territory of indonesia can be conquered. The only area that can not be controlled by the Dutch is Aceh. Several times the Dutch assault to Aceh but always failed, either by land, air mauput the sea. Aceh managed to maintain the sovereignty of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

    Scene 07 : Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh invites the people of Aceh to participate in the war against the Dutch.
    Scene 08 : the Troops of Aceh is led by Teungku Muhammad Daud Bereueh war against the Dutch.

  3. Storyboard
    The Storyboard Is the storyline of an animation derived from an idea/ideas. A Storyboard is a series of sketches, made in the shape of a rectangle which describes the sequence ( storyline ) elements that are proposed for multimedia applications.
    The Storyboard combines the tools of narrative and visual on a sheet of paper so that the script and the visual to be coordinated. the storyboard can be interpreted as a planning tool that illustrates the sequence of events beerupa a collection of images in a simple sketch

  4. Modelling
    Process modelling is the stage for the creation of characters and objects that will be created in the animation “the Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh”.

  5. Texturing
    The process of texturing is the stage of granting the texture and color on the object and the characters contained in the animation “the Story of Teungku Daud Bereueh”.

  6. Rigging
    The process of Rigging is the stage of giving a bone to control each object that will be moved later in the animation process.

  7. Animating
    Animation is the stage of the movement of each object that is created. The movement of the objects is adjusted with a synopsis and a storyboard that has been created.

  8. Rendering
    Rendering is the stage of creating the image of the object that has been created by calculating each property of the object.
