Description
Learn the functionality of MuseScore2's header
MuseScore provides us with many ways to alter our scores to fit our unique projects. The header of MuseScore can be customized to you exact specifications. This tutorial show you have to alter your header in a variety of ways.
Learn the importance of clarity in creating your header
It is critical to make sure that your scores are clear and easy to read. This not only applies to the notation, but to the header as well. Musicians are used to reading music in a certain format. If you alter the format or make things unclear it may be more difficult for musicians to read your music. That being said, you may need to make changes to the layout of your header to make your music more clear. The instructions in this tutorial shows you how to make these changes.
Learn how to insert a variety of content into the header
Left-click anywhere within the header and you will be given a menu. Roll over Add in this menu and you can choose a variety of things you can add to your header.
Learn how to resize and position content within the header
By left-clicking on any element within the header that element with turn blue. The properties for the element will appear in the Inspector at the right. You can manipulate these setting to alter the font, size and position of the element. There are numerous default 'Styles' you can choose from for your text.
Learn how to resize and position the header
By left-clicking anywhere other than an element inside the header the properties for the whole header will be shown in the Inspector at the right. You can manipulate these setting to alter the size and position of the header.
MuseScore2 is an open source application, which means that it is free for everyone to use. Please consider going to the developers' website and show your support for the project - https://musescore.org

The timing of this post is so funny! I literally downloaded MuseScore like 3 hours ago to find a free alternative to Guitar Pro and was thinking, “I should probably find a guide on how to use this...” haha. Then just now I see it resteemed by @minnowsupport haha.
It reminds me a lot of Sibelius, but I’m mainly interested in the guitar tab functions. Thanks for the post! I followed you to stay up to date with your MuseScore tutorials!
