Include delete group function to Rocket chat

Rocket chat is an open source chatting application. It has a simple, and easy to use interface. Along with basic, and exciting features for users to enjoy the app.

I started using the application not quite long, and I created a group for me and few of my folks to chat. After I created the group chat, I realized I used a wrong name to create the channel. So, I decided to delete, and create another one. I search the application, but couldn’t find a delete group feature. I even tried to edit, but nothing seems available.

Now my suggestion is about a killer button that will help to DELETE any group. This function could be implemented in any form and could function when the group owner long press on the group, which will pop up the option to delete the group. A warning could also be added to avoid mistakes.

I added some mockup to show how the feature might look like. In the image below I long press on the group I created mistakenly, which is tayo.

The pictures below show another warning page to avoid deleting a group by mistake.

This will as well, send an automatic message to every member of the group that 'Tayo group has been deleted.'

Benefits

This feature pops to my mind because of the mistake I make that I couldn't fix. This function will definitely be useful for different reasons.

There are scenarios where users will want to destroy or delete a created group to save additional loops of storage space, and this function will be the solution. I want to see the addition of this feature in the application.
