Introduction
I joined the Steemit blockchain on the 5th of December 2017, that is about 57 days now but I posted my first DTube video about 17 days ago and I found it even much easier to use than Youtube which a lot of people in my country depend on.
I saw the unique opportunity the DTube platform presents and I decided that it was important people got to know about this wonderful platform.
I spoke to a musician recently who has a huge following of close to 150,000 on Facebook (Fancy Gadam) about joining Steemit sometime ago and he said he would have joined if it was a video hosting platform. That time I did not know about DTube being a subsidiary of Steemit so after I learnt of it and experienced it I decided to take it upon myself to share the news and get it viral.
This was my first ever promotion for any open platform and I am happy I promoted DTube. I have decided to run one week promotion on Facebook and I have linked a whatsapp group to help guide interested members about how to get their content on DTube.
Audience
My target group for the promotion are male and female of ages 18-40 years who have interest in blogging, music, social entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurs and youtubers. I hope that through this campaign I will reach majority of the interest groups. I limited the age group to 40 because most often in my country Ghana these are the most active on the internet and most of this age group are searching for opportunities like that provided by DTube on the internet.
Activity
I published an article on my blog which has about 1000 monthly views and decided to run a boosted ad campaign on my official page on Facebook with the message bellow;
