Users of kolab notes should be able to back up their files(Important notes or articles)

Components

Kolab notes application is an open source project which allows users to save notes, articles etc. The app works on devices with Android 4.1 but it is optimized for Android 5.0. However, loosing data or files saved on this app could be very frustrating as there is no back up function associated with the application. This should be addressed to make the app more user friendly.

Proposal

My suggestion is that the developers of this application should make it possible for users to be able to secure (back up) data or files for easy recovery to avoid permanent lost of data. This feature is essential in every application of this kind which has a lot to do with important documentation of events, articles and noes etc.

Mockups / Examples

There are two places on the application that best suits this feature and they are illustrated on the screen shots below.

The back up buttons should be allocated on either of the points shown on the above screen shots to best suit it's purpose.

Benefits

The benefits of having this feature on any project is to secure files or data. This means the issue of lost notes over stolen or damaged devices would be curtailed. It will also serve as secure box where users can store data for future reference. This need would also boost the platform if met.
