Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.

Perhaps Information and Communications Technology is everything; probably it is not. But yes, it is an extended term for information technology. Which unified and includes communication devices telephone lines, wireless signals, computer networks, as well as the necessary software, middleware, storage, and audio-visual systems, services, like video conferencing, distance learning and so on, which enable users to access, store, transfer, and operate information. Although the different type of modern technology has fundamental value and advances in our life, no doubt it kills face-to-face communications.

Information and Communication Technology includes everything from cell phones and computers to local area networks. Later then, the first cell phone developed in 1973, the first call being made by Dr Martin Cooper of Motorola to his rival at Bell Labs, phones have arisen to enable much further than oral communication, using tower and satellite signals to send text messages and data such as video and images. Radio systems drive voice, data and video via wireless signals. Nowadays, radio covers from traditional broadcast stations to cell phones and wireless data networks. Satellites answer the distance tricky through receiving radio signals in space, amplifying and retransmitting them to ground-based receivers thousands of miles from the source place. Tim Berners-Lee established a standard format for connected pages of text in the late ’80s, and the World Wide Web was born. The Internet enables us to instantly, directly and comfortably communicate with anyone anywhere in the World.
Modern Technology radically changed the way people work and live. Smartphones give for many types of communication as a single device. Messages and data, thanks to the advanced technology, such as wireless signals, undersea cables and so on, rapidly delivered anywhere on the Planet. The speed of news could save lives and assist. Electronically sent messages are not prevented only by bugs and human errors. The online interchanging has unlocked the gateway to new ideas of interacting communication, ultimately of links with chat rooms, discussion forums and dating sites.
In education, the Internet delivers enormous resources for learning. A single computer could store hundreds of educational materials, as well as provide access to a vast of knowledge for scholars. In the health care area, improvements in diagnostic tools let doctors identify illnesses and conditions early, increasing the chances of active dealing and saving lives. Information technology is broadly used in business to increase efficiency through process enhancement, product modernisation and new worker skills. Digital file transfer, email and Internet calling services accelerate data transfer and communication while reducing costs, opposite the traditional, face-to-face interaction that required longer travel time and more expenses.

Though Communications Technology is everywhere in our day-to-day life and makes it more comfortable in a vast of a variety of tasks, it saves thousands of lives. Allows us to keep in touch with friends from all around the world faster and easier than ever before, but we should do not depend on it because it will kill the face-to-face conversations. Personal communication is highly nuanced art. Text messaging often leads to miscommunication because it is impossible to carry all the complexity of face to face communication by a short text. What are the vital elements of the conversation? Facial expressions, body language and intonation. When these fundamentals are absent from the communication question, confusions arise. As we expect more from technology, it seems, do we expect less from each other. We are getting used to a new way of being alone together. Writing SMS, sending an email and blogging can be a tool to express our personality as we want to be. We can edit, and that means we can delete, and we can correct the face, the voice, the skin, the body. We sacrifice conversation for mere connection. Human relationships are abundant, and they can be messy and challenging. And we clean them up with technology.
Today with over three billion people having access to the Internet. Nearly nine out of ten Internet users have smartphones. Information and data are increasing rapidly. This rapid growth has led the Communications Technology to become a basis of our everyday life, in which life without some facet of technology gives most of the office, work and routine tasks dysfunctional. Through technology might find it challenging to engage in normal conversation, since they may have issues understanding non-verbal signs due to lack of practice with face-to-face interaction that cannot rest, edited or filtered.
Now we all need to focus on that Steve Jobs suggested; we should control how we use technology and do lovely things to avoid become addicted to technology, to keep alive the face-to-face communication.
