Expected behavior
On accessing the feed tab for user's subscriptions, skytube is expected to import subscriptions from youtube by means of visiting https://www.youtube.com/subscription_manager and clicking the export subscriptions button at the buttom of the page. This allows you to download an xme file which users use by clicking on select xme file on skytube app to import subscriptions.
Actual behavior
Upon downloading the xme file, the application is unable to locate the downloaded xme file.
I also verified from my file manager and notification slide that indeed the xme file has been download and can be viewed on file manager/downloads as shown in the inclusive video. But skytube is unable to locate the xme file upon click-on select xme file.
How to reproduce
- download skytube from f-driod application.
- open application and log in.
- go to the feed tab and select import subscriptions from youtube
- follow instructions and go to https://www.youtube.com/subscription_manager to export subscriptions.
- once it has been downloaded, return to skytube and select xme file.
- unable to locate xme file.
- version of the application : 2.82
- last updated : 3/26/18

Unfortunately, this contribution cannot be approved. It does not meet the utopian rules.
Apparently your browser downloads the file and misses the file extension, the correct extension should be .XML . The application is only able to read .XML files.
So, go back to your folder to edit and rename the file from
subscription manager
tosubscription manager.xml
. Then try to import from the skytube app, you will see that it works.Need help? Write a ticket on https://support.utopian.io.
