Making Steepshot Better Part #1 - A List of Suggestions! - Tagging Users, Edit Profile Settings And Photo Editing Features.

Components

I am giving suggestions to three different components of the application. I think these features are necessary for the growth of the application and help everyone to use the app efficiently:

• Tagging users in Photos
• Settings
• Photo Uploads

Proposal #1

Add Tagging Ability to the pictures. For example, In the below picture, it is difficult to explain who is who by mentioning the usernames in the description. Tagging function will come to the rescue. It will give face to each username and we will be able to connect better. Of course you should be able to approve or reject any tag request made by someone else.

After the implementation of this feature, the picture with people tagged will look something like this:

Please don't mind my editing skills. They are not very great but I will communicate myself through them without any confusion.

Benefit(s) #1

• Tagging pictures will enable more engagement among the community
• People will share pictures with their friends and hence increasing the individual activity
• Maybe people who were tagged can get a piece of reward generated out of the picture
• Followers of the person can easily navigate through profiles of other people who are tagged

Proposal #2

@steepshot should allow users to update their profile picture, display name, about section, location and website through the app itself. Not everyone who uses steepshot from their smartphone, access their Steemit profile.

Mockup/Example #2

This is the screenshot taken from my own Steemit Settings. In the same way, @steepshot can implement this. Except the cover photo settings because right now there is no such feature available.

Benefit(s) #2

• This will help users to update their profile information from the app itself rather going to another website like Steemit or Busy.ORG

Proposal #3

Add filters, basic photo-editing tools and emojis or stickers should be made native to the application. This will not only help users to use @steepshot as a platform to post pictures but also for photo editing.

Benefit(s) #3

• It will help lazy users like me to beautify their images and improve the quality before posting like cropping irrelevant parts of the picture or adding extra punch with filters.
• Emojis and Stickers will add on to the expressions of the pictures.
