Something that I think Steemit is lacking, is better search functionality.
Right now you can only search for certain strings, and it will show you results either based on relevance (I suppose how many of the keywords are present in a post, and whether they appear in the order as the searched phrase) and date (basically posts that were posted in the last few hours, apparently not by chronological order).
What I suggest is to add more filtering options, either by typing, or via buttons.
Typing filters could be: adding a ‘#’ before the word and either ‘&&’ (and) or ‘//’ (or)
E.G. “#news && #cryptocurrency && #bitcoin”, which will show only posts that have all 3 meantioned tags.
Alternatevely “#steemit // #steem // #promo-steem” will show posts that have EITHER 1 of these tags.
(ignore the " in the beginning of the search)
Additionally %new, %trending, %hot could filter posts by their popularity configuration.
E.G. “#steemit %trending && %hot” will return posts that have the steemit tag and are either trending or hot.
Or “#steemit // #steem %new” will show only new posts with the steemit or steem tag.
Also time filtering will be nice, like to be able to get better curation rewards (after the first 30 minutes).
This function could also be simple, all you do is add !30minutes_3hours, and it will show you posts that were published between the last 30 minutes and the last 3 hours.
“#steem !30minutes_3hours” (while single units will still be written as “!1minutes_1days”)
And to go overboard, how about a filter that will show you authors that have written about something in a certain period?
“#steemit !1minutes_1weeks %author_2posts”
This could basically show you authors that written at least 2 posts in the last week with the steemit tag (%author should be enough if you want authors that wrote at least ONE post in a certain period).
I’m not saying that all of this should be programmed into the next HF, and that it should work exactly how I detailed here. But if some of these functionalities would be add to Steemit (perhaps even to busy.org, eSteem and so on) users will have a better expreince, because browsing on Steem will become a lot easier.
So what do you guys think, are the functions simple enough for most users? Will you use them, if implemented? Got a better idea how to perform a certain functions?
Please let me know in the comments.

Yeah, it get's quite difficult to find older posts and less popular tags :( Waiting for a Steemit Developer to come up with a tool or solution to this ,

I agree that Steemit needs a better search function. I don't even use it at most times, but I bet many new users are having a difficult time finding the information they need.

Steem uses Google search, if they start developing their own internal Seach. And yes they can add a few parameters too but I guess Search is not on their list now.

Good Ideas!!! I also didn`t expect a google-search to pops up although many understand Steemit as an ALTERNATIVE to mainstream social media like Google/Facebook. BTW...thank you very much for your kind upvote I really appriciate!
