Jakarta, ITN - Indonesia Tourist News

Well, there are new facilities (fasum) in the attractions of Sasak Sade Village and Mount Rinjani National Park in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). After reaping complaints and criticism from tourists especially in the past few years, now there are available decent public toilets on both attractions.

Construction of fasum Toilet in Sasak Sade Village has been completed.

In the tourist village located on the side of the road to the beach Mandalika Kuta is now available two toilets at two points. One is the old toilet at the front near the renovated village entrance.

In every toilet building there are 3 booths and 3 men's rest rooms. So a total of 12 booths in two public toilet buildings. And 1 more toilet cubicle is special for persons with disabilities.

In Pos 2 on the trekking track in the area of Mount Rinjani National Park was now available 8 toilet cubicles. Pos 2 is the most crowded because it serves as a place to rest for lunch as well as a place to spend the night climbers. In the Netizen Mountain Climbers Facebook page it is hoped that the public facade can be treated and there are no climbers polluting it with vandalism. Mount Rinjani is not only a dream of local and domestic climbers but also has attracted foreign tourists from the region of Southeast Asia, Asia, Europe to America.

"With the completion of toilet construction in Sade Village we hope this can be a stimulant for other areas to do the same. That the issue of amenitas should be a priority in the development of tourist destinations in Indonesia, "said Taufan Rahmadi, PIC Mandalika Team Member 10 Tourism Acceleration Ministry of Tourism.

What is the average length of use of public toilets? No more than 5 minutes per person. It may not have occurred to us that such a short time could greatly affect the judgment of others against us. From a small booth that has been considered a dirty and insignificant place that other people can rank the extent of concern and the need for hygiene, sanitation and hygiene for the people of Indonesia.

For tourist destinations and attractions, the need for decent toilet facilities and meeting tourism standards - part of visitor exposure while in destination and tourist attraction - is to increase local people's awareness of hygiene and sanitation needs. Furthermore, the need for sanitation in tourism is not impossible to help improve sanitation facilities both quantitatively and qualitatively in areas that have not been touched or still deficient. *** (Yun Damayanti)
