I have been busy lately due to the holidays, family reunions and all, have not had much time to talk about the results of my twitter promotion. On the series I started last year - Promoting Open Source Projects on Twitter, I have been talking about ChainBB.com.
What is ChainBB?
https://Chainbb.com is a discussion forum on the Steem Blockchain. Just like Steemit, it rewards users with Steem and Steem dollars. As a forum, threads could be created and contributed to, just like any other forum on the Internet. Chainbb is just like reddit in a way.
I posted 2 tweets that talked about ChainBB. The first tweet was more of an introduction to ChainBB, while the reply tweet was to help users know more about the forum. The initial tweet had a link to the website, while the other tweet had a link to the "Frequently Asked Questions." I tried a different kind of promotion this time around, so I didn't add a picture to the tweets.
The twitter account used is a very familiar one, it has same username with my Steemit account. I have over 277.5k followers on the account. If you have been following the series, you will observe I have disabled the feeds I normally share on my account in order to enhance the visibility. The only links I share now are to my Steemit posts. Twitter is fun, so it can be used for promotions too.
What was the result of the promotion?
Looking at both the gif and screenshot above, it can be seen that the tweet garnered over 6,707 impressions, the total engagement is currently 425 within about 3 days. This engagement includes the 205 retweets, 3 likes, 36 detail expands, 178 link clicks.
I also found a follower that shared my tweet to his Facebook page. This is my contribution to open source community. If you have one you would like me to promote, you can let me know. Have a great day!

I read through everything this is nice.. But you should consider how to split people attention to both steemit and chainbb giving chainbb some great leverage this is because most WhatsApp group are already doing this..
I love the vision.. Keep it up..

I'm also promoting steemit on twitter, and I share my steemit links there too. Thanks for the suggestion though.
