Suggestion to include merge and delete option in simple contact

Components

A simple app for creating or managing your contacts from any source. The contacts can be stored on your device only, but also synchronized via Google, or other accounts. You can display your favorite contacts on a separate list.
You can use it for managing user emails and events too. It has the ability to sort/filter by multiple parameters, optionally display surname as the first name.
Contains no ads or unnecessary permissions. It is fully opensource, provides customizable colors.

Proposal

The developer of Simple contact has done a really great job. This app has really helped me manage my contact list. I will just like to add my contribution to the app by suggesting that the app should also include the following options;

Delete Duplicate Contacts Options: True to the name, The app has been simple and easy to use. On my contact list I have multiple duplicate contact, selecting multiple contacts manually is exhausting and time taking. Personally I have over a thousand contact most of which are duplicates. Some numbers has over five duplicate. Selecting to delete this contact manually even in simple contact app is time taking and tideous. With delete duplicate option, it makes the taskfaster and easier to use.

Merge Contact: Sometimes some contacts are saved with the same contact name, for example, a friend with 2 different phone contact can be saved twice with the same. With the merge features, users can easily merge this contact under one name.

Benefits

Adding the delete and merge option as a feature to simple contact will make sanitizing users contact easier and faster. Having this features in simple contact will make the app user friendly.
It will also contribute to the way users makes use of the app because of the ease of use and smart behavior.
