I have heard about open source contributions, although i don't have full details of how it works, how its done and how one can get rewarded, but i am still gonna make a suggestion.
From my little stay on steemit, i understand that there are various sites and apps on the steem blockchain and i still don't know the use of some of them. i also discovered that there are no advert bars on the steemit page for these platforms or other products, so i decided to put up a suggestion.
PROPOSAL
My proposal is to include an advert bar on the mapped out portion of the steemit.com page for other steem blockchain apps and sites to be displayed, showing stories about how useful they are, also to advertise new products.
MOCKUPS/EXAMPLE
This is a mapped out portion that could be used to show the ads and activities on ones blog
An example using my facebook page.
BENEFITS
This will enable the newbies know about the various apps and sites (Dtube, Dsound, Esteem etc)that use steem blockchain, and also keep them informed about their uses.
Other products can also buy a chance to advertise on the steemit.com platform since the number of steemians are increasing daily hence creating enough audience for any product.
New informations about steemit can also be displayed here.
Promoted post could have much more views if they are promoted on this portion.
