SteemPlus - Self Vote possible for 1UP on Utopian.io Contribution Page

in utopian-io •  7 years ago  (edited)

Expected behavior

The SteemPlus extension offers the possibility to vote for the service "Utopian 1up". I expected that one cannot vote for one's own Utopian contribution, as this has not been possible since the beginning of the service.

Actual behavior

In my last post I was able to vote for my own contribution on the Utopian.io platform and enter it for the trail in the Utopian-1up. I got the trail afterwards. Normally it should not be possible to submit your own contribution to Utopian1UP but the community should decide who gets the 1UP.

The Steemian rivalzzz has done the First vote on the Contribution. I did thesame on the utopian.io page after i have done my Contribution. That should not be possible. This could unfairly give you an advantage on the Curation Trail. For me it was more an accident to press the button and was very surprised that it worked.

How to reproduce

First Install the Browser Extension: SteemPlus from stoodkev.
Create a Utopian.io Contribution and finish it. (It will not work with Contributions where the Utopian Bot already have voted on.) On the Utopian.io Webpage go to your recently created Contribution and Hit the 1UP Button at the Bottom of the Contribution.

  • Browser: Chrome, Firefox
  • Operating system: MAC OS X

Recording Of The Bug

Successfully vote to the Curation Trail. First Vote was from rivalzzz and the second was by me

The repository should be therealflauwy/1UP as it was an issue in the backend that had nothing to do with SteemPlus. Issue fixed anyways. Thank you for notifying me.

This contribution cannot be approved because the repository associated with this particular issue doesn't have a readme. As per the Utopian Rules:

The Github repository linked to a Utopian contribution post must contain the project’s source code, a readme, and a license.

You also didn't provide version numbers for your browser or OS, these should also be added to future contributions.
