Change Page Title on Other User's Feeds
When you first open up Steemit.com, before you have created an account, you remain at the url https://steemit.com/ and are left on the Trending page. The Page Title is set to Trending Posts — Steemit
.
When you return to Steemit while logged in, you are redirected to a url of the form https://steemit.com/@{username}/feed and the Page Title is set to Home — Steemit
But, if you view the same URL while logged out, or view the feed of any other user, the Page Title stays the same. I discussed this a little bit earlier today.
I'm not Ned! Not my home!
Only one of these is mine
This certainly isn't a breaking feature, but it can make it confusing if you look at the feeds of other users. It would be nice if the Page Title changed when it was appropriate to do so.
This would be a relatively easy thing to implement, since the Page Title is already being changed dynamically.
- When on a Feed page, check if the user is logged in
- If the user is logged in, and the username matches the username of the feed, display
Home — Steemit
- Otherwise, display
@{username}'s feed — Steemit
Benefits
- Navigating Steemit becomes a little less confusing
- Clearer separation of your home vs. a home
Nicer, right?
Thanks!
