Project Details
This is a medical project. The HPO provides an ontology to describe and annotate the phenotypic manifestations of human disease. The HPO provides classes (terms) that describe the individual manifestations of disease (signs, symptoms, laboratory measurements, imaging, etc.). HPO currently contains approximately 11,000 terms (still growing) and over 115,000 annotations to hereditary diseases. Human phenotype ontology has a lot of imprtant information about human disease. Human Phenotype Ontology translation project is about translation of medical terms and diseases. It aims to provide to have vocabulary of phenotypic abnormalities in human disease. This project was interesting because it was about medical issues. But it was a bit difficult to get around. There were mostly texts about medical terms and diseases. Despite all this, I enjoyed translating, doing, it was fun for me.
