Additional Features to Dark Knight

Components

Dark Knight is an open source android chess application, materially designed. It is based on driodfish and the stockfish engine and also includes bluetooth play. Dark knight is like every standard chess game that have a board containing 64 squares of two separate colors, each player having 16 pieces which includes, a King, a Queen, 2 Rooks, 2 Knights, 2 Bishops, and 8 Pawns. I noticed while playing this great chess game that, it does not have two great features which are save game and legal moves.

Proposal

I propose the addition of a save option and legal moves setting.

The save option provides the chess players the ability to save a game that is going on. The save option allows you the opportunity to pause a game by saving the game and coming back to continue from where you were at your convenient time.

The legal moves setting provides the chess player the ability to either show all the possible squares a piece can move to at a given time or to hide all the possible squares a piece can move to at a given time.

Benefits of the addition of these features on Dark Knight

• Save: This feature will provide the chess players the opportunity to pause their games by saving it, when they become inconvenient and resume their game when they become convenient.

• Legal Moves: This feature will help amateur chess players to see their possible moves when playing the game of chess on Dark Knight, hereby improving their chess play.
