Add features starred messages, pin messages and mentions.

Components

Linphone is an open source app offering free audio/video calls and text messaging. With Linphone, you can be reachable at any time, even if the app is closed, with a WiFi or 3G/4G internet connection. The suggestion I want to give is that there is a need of starred Messages, Pin Message and mention features.

Proposal

The addition of features that i am proposing is the inclusion of features like starred messages, pin message and feature of mentioning the existing users and replies to specific messages which could be a good addition to some missing features in the Linphone chatbox. I will show you how it looks for now.

We have some options but more features for messages can be included which i will show you in next segment.

Mockups / Examples

As mentioned we have to add features like starred messages, pinned messages and mentions which can be done as shown below.

I have shown in above picture an example of adding options which starred messages, pinned messages and mentions. There are some apps which are already supporting such features. Examples of them are as under

Benefits

The above mentioned is beneficial in many ways which includes putting top messages in the starred messages, keeping a record of favourite messages, pinned messages can be used to pin a message which may represent you or all of the chat. Mentions are very important for replying specific people and specific texts with perfect replies. Overall these options will be a great addition to the application and I want it to be considered.
