The base of Apple logo is symetrical. It even use the golden ratio :)
I agree that it is a small inconsistency (you can see i answered the question with: very good, open for improvement), but i don't agree that it can't be avoided, i just showed you that if you make the child head smaller the inconsistency will be less noticeable. And that's one of the way graphic designers solving a problem.
I am not asking you to alter your concept. I just tell you that the logo has inconsistency and i tell you you could avoid it by doing this and this.
Have a great day too :)
I talked about the apple logo is not symmetrical and not the construction rule followed.. even though this is just remake of streamlined and mechanical designers :)...
In a symmetrical shape, everything has to be symetrical in each sides and not only a part... the logo is everything and not just the bottom part :)
Remember, In my design, the face had to look natural... The voice wave had to look right... Look at my idea concept in the proof of authorship section... the smile and the jaw ring and the outer ring forms the HIDDEN SPEACH or HIDDEN COMMUNICATION WAVE...
Making it perfectly symetrical like your first one will ALTER the spacing in the SPEACH WAVE and will not look correct...
Like I SAID... good designers create designs to match his/her original ideas and then MAKE CHANGES only where neccessary... THERE are key rules to keep in mind first, but the satisfaction in the design should be the ultimate goal.
have a great day once again :)
