Some Floating Icons Are Not Accessible In Landscape Mode.

Project Information

  • Title: MaterialFbook Floating Icons bug

Expected behavior

I expected the icons to shrink in size, so that they can all be accessible in landscape mode, just as they are in portrait mode.

Actual behavior

The Icons maintain their original size in landscape mode, hence the top three icons are over lapped by the top action bar, making them inaccesible.

How to reproduce

  • Download and Install MaterialFaceBook from Fdroid.org

  • Configure your device screen to "Auto-rotation". (You can find this under "display" within device settings)

  • Launch MaterialFbook and grant it the necessary permissions required.

  • The floating action button is active and red in colour by default. It is visible to logged in and logged out users, So you don't necessarily have to log in.

  • Locate the floating action button (+) located at the bottom right corner of the screen
  • Now toggle the icon, by clicking on the floating button.

  • Take note of the icons.

  • Rotate device display to use landscape mode by holding device horizontally.

  • Notice some of the icons are hidden under the upper action bar.

  • Browser/App version: V3.8.1

  • Operating system: Android v6.0 marshmallow.

  • Device: Itel p12

Note: This issue was found on a device with Display density of 240Dpi and screen size of 5inches.
