Adding Pause/Resume button in Sound Recorder

Sound Recorder is a simple sound recording application on Android. It records sounds so it can be played later.

Proposal

I would like a new feature added to this application, which would improve the application.
I would like a pause/resume button to be added to the application.

Mockups / Examples

I would use the Recorder on an Infinix X557 for illustration.

As you can see from the above picture, while recording with the Infinix X557 recorder there is a pause option.

The Recorder would look like this once you press the pause button .

Now to see the difference between the two,
see below here on Sound Recorder there's no pause or resume button.

Now this is what Sound Recorder would look like once the resume or pause button is added.

Benefits

If this feature is added to Sound Recorder, users would be able to pause recordings and resume later.
Users would be able to record the exact sounds they want before stopping the recording.
