Features to enhance open flashlight application

A simple, open source flashlight is an android flashlight(torch) application.

Proposal

I suggest that the developers of open flashlight should improve the application by adding 1x1 widget feature for all android phones home screen and brightness adjustment.

1X1 widget feature is very important for open flashlight because it serves as shortcut in case of emergency. The power on/off button appears on home screen for easy operation. 1X1 widget should be programmed so it appears on home screen as open flashlight extension.

Brightness adjustment should be implemented on open flashlight so that it users can adjust flashlight brightness. With this feature, the application users will be able to reduce or increase it brightness and it helps control battery consumption. The should be option where users tab to increase or reduce it brightness.

Mockups / Examples

The image below shows the 1x1 widget power on/off button on home screen,it users can easily run the application with a single tab.

The image below shows inside of the flashlight, i suggest the power button should be tab two to three times to increase/reduce the brightness of the light.

Benefits

1X1 widget feature will reduce the stress of searching for open flashlight before device flashlight can be used, and open flashlight will be selected as default application because the 1x1 widget feature will always appear on the home screen if activated.
Higher the flashlight brightness, higher the battery consumption, but with the above mentioned feature the device owner will be able to control phone battery usage. Open flashlight would be one of the best flashlight applications if open source implement these features.
