Problem
The author of this contribution post was using this application on android called “ Counter ” while trying to count the number of papers filed in the document tray. However, as the counter reaches at one thousand (1000), he found out that the numbers do not have a separator in between. With this kind of situation, the author of this contribution post thought that the number went back to one hundred (100) and when he look back at it, the number truly appeared is one thousand (1000). The problem here is “ confusion about the groupings of number exist ”. If this kind of problem always exist while using the said application, the purpose of the application would somehow be unsuitable as to what is its use. Also, it will become ineffective and less efficient in such a way that the user will have confusions on what number he/she really is in while counting. Furthermore, it would somehow affect the tasks to be done by the user while using the said application at the same time. So now, this suggestion had come up on his mind.
Suggestion
To solve the given problem, the author of this contribution was able to find a solution. Thus, from the title of this contribution states, “ Add A Digit Group Separator on Counting Numbers Starting From 1,000 And Up ”. The suggestion has been given so as to solve the problems found by the author of this contribution post on the application. This contribution suggests that the numbers starting from 1,000 and up should have a digit separator in between. In order to determine what group of digit a specific number belongs, the existence of a separator is a must. Thus, this suggestion has been made.
Decimal Mark/Digit Group Separator
A decimal mark/digit separator is a symbol used to separate the integer part from the fractional part of a number written in decimal form. Different countries officially designate different symbols for the decimal mark. The choice of symbol for the decimal mark also affects the choice of symbol for the thousands separator used in digit grouping, so the latter is also treated in this article. In mathematics the decimal mark is a type of radix point, a term that also applies to number systems with bases other than ten.

Benefits
- The numbers will be separated according to its groupings and thus, the numbers will be grouped properly.
- It will be easier to identify if the number is on the ones, tens, hundreds, thousands place and so on.
- Confusion among users will be removed while using the application giving them the confidence that they are on the the exact number on their counting.
- It will improve, restructure and will make the application more efficient and reliable.
