Requesting for NCalc+ (Open Source) to Add " Reaumur " As Another Unit of Conversion on Temperature

in utopian-io •  7 years ago  (edited)

Good day to all the readers! ^_^

This contribution is a suggestion for NCalc+ (Open Source).

What is NCalc+ (Open Source) ?

An open source android application specifically, a calculator which provides the following features:

ALGEBRA

  1. Computer science
  2. Solving the equation:
  3. Solve system equations
  4. Graphing
  5. Cartesian geometry sand (Viet Nam Education)
  6. Unit Conversions
  7. Simplify expressions
  8. Polynomial factorization.
  9. Binomial expansion Newton
  10. Matrix: evalute matrix step by step

ANALYTICS

  1. Derivative
  2. Antiderivative
  3. Definite integrals
  4. Find the limit of the sequence, function

TRIGONOMETRIC

  1. Trigonometric expand: sin(2x) -> 2sin(x)cos(x)
  2. Trigonometric reduce: 2sin(x)cos(x) -> sin(2x)
  3. Trigonometric to exponent: sinh(x) -> (e^x-e^(-x))/2

DETERMINATION OF STATISTICS

  1. Combination
  2. Permutation

SOME OTHER FEATURES

  1. Prime factors
  2. Modulo
  3. Catalan number
  4. Fibonacci number

The Calculator does not show the steps to solve the equations, system of equations, derivative... but only for the final result.
Example Demonstration:
Enter sin(30°) to calculate sine Degree mode

The computer can work in two modes:

  • Decimal mode: 0.12312312323
  • Mode fractions: for results with arbitrary precision, for example 9^99999

Suggestion

As the title itself states, my suggestion would be an addition of another unit of conversion for temperature. On my last suggestion post for NCalc+, it was stated that I have suggested to add the unit of temperature which is the “ Rankine ”. Now, the another unit of temperature that is meant on this contribution is the “ REAUMUR ”. As an engineering student, one must know the basic units of temperature namely, Degrees Celsius, Degrees Fahrenheit, Degrees Kelvin and Degrees Newton which is already present on NCalc+ App for android. However, those mentioned units are not just the only units for temperature which means there are other units of temperature existing nowadays. Another one of these units of temperature is the “ Reaumur ”. So now, this suggestion has been made. To explain further what are the other units of temperature for conversion, this table will be provided.

What is a Reaumur or Reaumur Scale?

The Réaumur scale French: [ʁe.o.myːʁ] (°Ré, °Re, °r), also known as the " octogesimal division " , is a temperature scale for which the freezing and boiling pointsof water are defined as 0 and 80 degrees respectively. The scale is named for René Antoine Ferchault de Réaumur, who first proposed a similar scale in 1730. The Réaumur scale was used widely in Europe, particularly in France, Germany and Russia, and was referenced in the works of Dostoyevsky, Flaubert, Tolstoy, and Nabokov. By the 1790s, France chose the Celsius scale for the metric system instead of the Réaumur measurements, but it was used commonly in some parts of Europe until at least the mid-19th century, and in parts of Russia until the early 20th. Its main modern uses are in some Italian and Swiss factories for measuring milk temperature during cheese production, and in the Netherlands for measuring temperature when cooking sugar syrup for desserts and sweets.

Suggested Format

Go Settings and select “ Unit Converter

Find “ Reaumur ” on the Unit Conversions

Select “ Reaumur ” on the Unit Conversions

Input any value and find it’s equivalent on “ Reaumur

Benefits

  1. It will improve, restructure and make the unit conversions of temperature on NCalc+ more beneficial and efficient especially to engineering students and other Major in Mathematics dealing with Units of Temperature conversions.
  2. Additional unit of temperature to NCalc+ would be helpful to anyone who are dealing with Conversions of Temperature Units in order for them to gain additional knowledge on the units of temperature and to expand their expertise.
  3. NCalc+ Unit Converter will be updated and it will be more advantageous to both the developer and application users.
  4. Another useful and latest units of temperature for converting will be added to Unit Converter.
  5. Makes it easier and faster to convert units of temperature using NCalc+.

That would be all ! Thank you for visiting and reading the context ^_^

Your contribution cannot be approved because it is very similar to a contribution that was already accepted here. You should have covered both units under a single post.

@cheetah - site is unavailable at this time? its not similar sir, it's a suggestion for utopian/github by the way

sir @knowledges, please take a recheck on this contribution post, thank you :)

Hello @rejzons, I can see they are different but almost in same format. Making different contributions for addition of conversion unitsis not a good idea. Its much better if you just state them in one contribution rather than splitting them in different post.

okay sir @knowledges.. thank you! :)
