Component(s)

There are times that even though we know what that word is, still, we don’t know what it really means. The full definition of that word and even its history is still a mystery to us, unless, we really have an idea or knowledge at the beginning. So the only thing we can do is to search for it and find it out. That’s the time we consult Wikipedia. Wikipedia is now accessible on your android smartphones. However, there are sections of the application which still needs improvement. One of these sections which I am referring to is the display section of the application.

Example Situation (To know and better understand the importance of this suggestion)

As I am using this application, I had noticed something on the display section of the application. " The texts are not properly displayed ". What I mean to say is even though it is displaying information about the searched word/file, the presentation of the information is somehow not presentable. The words are wrapped yet, there are times that when you adjust the screen (zooming in and out), the words are still not presentable and the alignment/justification is improper.

Proposal

From the given situation above, the title of this contribution suggests that the developers of Wikipedia should JUSTIFY THE DISPLAYED TEXTS AS SEARCHED INFORMATION. Meaning instead of just displaying the contents of the searched word/file, it should also be presentable and properly displayed (Justified). Also, even though the texts are wrapped, as you are adjusting the screen (zooming in and out) of your smartphone, the displayed texts should still be justified. In order to make this suggestion possible, Wikipedia (Android App Version) developers should make some enhancement on their application from which this suggestion will be included and so as to be implemented. To make this suggestion easier to interpret, the author of this contribution post provided the current format as well as his suggested format.

Benefits

  1. The displayed texts and photos for the searched information will be properly presented and justified. Thus, this will encourage the users to search for more information on the application.
  2. This will improve the performance of the application and without a doubt, makes the released information more comprehensible and easier to visualize.
  3. The number of users of the said android application as well as the rating will increase thus making it reliable, efficient and useful.
  4. This new feature will be beneficial to both the managements and its users in the sense that both of them will be able to have enhancements and developments.
  5. New development in the feature of Wikipedia (Android Open Source App) since it will be a new milestone to be achieved by the developers.
