Contribution to the new open source project - Steemdesk
Components
Steemdesk is a new open source platform displaying different activities of any Steemit blogger. All you need to do is to type in the user's name and it shows different activities of a user, like followers, number of posts, whom they have delegated SP, etc.
- Github: https://github.com/cutemachine/SteemDesk
- Website: https://www.steemdesk.com/
I have been using the Steemdesk lately and love this platform because it wants to show you important information of any users. Along this line, I want to continue to help the project owner to put in more unique information of Steemit users when we come to this platform.
Proposal
I want to suggest a useful TAB: "Best Posts Payout in last 7 Days" under "Dashboard".
When we click on this TAB, it will take us to a new page with the following information:
On this new page, we can check out the posts that any users have created in the last 7 days with all the SBD and STEEM caculated for us.
I suggest to put the calculation in a graph form - from most payout to less payout
Posts will be listed on the left side of the graph. The best posts will be listed from the top going down
The payout can be put at the bottom: SBD + STEEM (there is no need to separate the two just so that we can see the graph easily)
The bar graph can then show the payout of all the posts in the last 7 days in order of payout
Mockups / Examples
I will give detailed steps for mockups so that project owner can get a clear picture of how to implement my suggestion:
Step 1: Put in the Extra Tab on Home page
- I suggest to put the TAB: Best Payout Posts
And when people click on the Best Payout Posts, it will take them to the new page as shown above.
The New page will show: Best payout posts for user:
Right now, I keyed in my username to show you my example: @rosatravels
Step 2: New Page showing the Best payout posts in the last 7 days
Step 3: Set up of this new page: Best payout posts in last 7 days for @rosatravels
- I highlighted at the bottom with the payout in SBD + STEEM
Step 4: Put in bar graphs for visual clarity
- I suggest to use bar graphs so that we can see our posts performance clearly
- In my example here, I used powerpoint to show how to do the horizontal bar graph
- Now it becomes very clear which post gets the most payout
- And we can see what kind of posts get less payout
- Everything is seen in one flash of our post activities in the last 7 days
Benefits
There are lots of benefits for us to check our own posts status and also status of other users.
Since many of us post different topics, so we can look at the graph in one flash to see what kind of posts do best, better, and not as good
this helps us to monitor our blogging and to know where to place our priority
it also gives us an idea what kind of posts are more valuable to our followers at this time
the graph may change every week, so I suggest to just limit it to 7 day postings as a cycle. We always should monitor our blogging and 7 day cycle is a good one for good evaluation.
so if we are concerned to get better payout, we can concentrate on submitting more of that kind of posts to get more rewards with our posting.
Conclusion
I truly believe having this technical aspect into the platform will enhance the platform to a great extent. Users want to come in here to get information more quickly and effectively. By showing these bar graphs of 7 day postings, everything can be seen in one flash. This will help us how to concentrate on the kind of postings to get better payout.
Thank you for your attention,
Rosa
