Thanks for contributing to Utopian!
This is not a bug. The expected behavior you provided is not the behavior the app should produce. Steemit and steemhut are both steem front ends.
This means, that the text there, is just some word for a specific amount of time, that the developers of the respective front end decided is appropriate. It's a design choice.
Mind you, the developer might agree with you, and change it to something else (unlikely), and this is a contribution to an open source project, but, it is not a bug. It is working as expected and as intended.
See this issue I submitted in May to the steemit repository (this was before the whitelist):
https://github.com/steemit/condenser/issues/2807
No one acknowledged it, it stayed the same - and in my opinion it's inaccurate.
Even if it pleases the developers, and they decide to change the years are represented, and even if the change is a code heavy commit, it has minimal to no impact on user experience, and doesn't cause anything. It's just there for users. The Steem blockchain got the date and time not represented in words. For your post for example it's "2018-08-13 19:45:27". And same as I didn't even post said issue to steem, I can't review this as a bug.
It is not a bug. It is the way it is by design.
Sorry for the frustration.
