Suggestion to Signal private messenger android to add these feature- Active now, Last seen, User is Typing, sent message editing and transferring video calling icon to chatting interface

Components

Signal is a chatting application. This chatting application is open source and can be used for Android, iOS and Desktop. I am writing the contribution over android. This application is very fast and simple to use. The app have enough security for the users. The younger people can use it to be connected with friends through calling, video calling. I own self used the app and my experience is the app is very fast and no lag in audio and video call.

Proposal

In this contribution i have a suggestion for additional below features on Signal messenger

• Adding "active now" feature
• Adding "last seen" feature
• Adding "user is typing" feature
• Adding sent message editing feature
• Transferring video calling icon to chatting interface

Benefits

• Benefits of Active now feature: By this feature the user can see if the person he wants to talk is online or not. So, he don't have to think about- "is he online?" This feature is very helpful to every user and will make the application more interesting than ever.

• Benefits of last seen feature: By this feature user will know when the opposite was online last time. It is another interesting feature of messaging app.

• Benefit of user is typing feature: If the user is typing, app will show this. This is a very important because if this feature is there then automatically every user can know that if the opponent will reply him or not.

• Benefits of sent message editing: Everyone do mistake while typing. So this feature is very important to fix those mistake on chat. By this way he doesn't need to type again, he can just fix the mistake by editing.

• Benefits of transferring video calling icon to chatting interface: On messaging app the audio and video button are kept side by side. And It's easy to access from there. It's so tedious to turn on video calling from audio calling interface and this can be improved by this feature.
