Components
Recently I realized that managing media in media library becomes harder and harder as our website grows. Sometimes we need to find a old file and then we need to scroll all the way down if we don't know the name. Another problem is that it is hard to manage media and there isn't any good plugin to make it easy for us. My suggestion is to add a way to make it easy for use to manage our media
Proposal
I want to propose a solution for solving this problem. My suggestion is to add a folder system so we can categorize our media files and make it more organized. This way we can make different folders for different type of media, like making a folder for website's logo, banner and one folder for images used in article. We would also be able able to categorize our images and make it as clean as possible. There isn't a decent plugin to allow to create folders within the media library as they are just categories that you can add.
How Will It Work?
Simply when you click add new, a drop down menu will appear asking if you want to add new files or folder. Add new folder and then whatever files you have already in your media library you can drag it into that folder or click the file and allocate it a folder in the right hand sidebar section.
Benefits
- Easy handling of media
- Easy to find media
- Clean and more modern style
- Easy to reuse old images
- Easy to find old images
- Easy to categorize images
