Being a witness myself, I always need to get out of Steemit to get information about other witnesses or to see if a particular account still has a witness vote available. So, together with my team, we've decided to implement it as a new Tab for a better SteemPlus experience.
This is only the first of a series of features that will be released to help witnesses to find the data they need directly on Steemit.
Let's take a look at these new features:
New Feature: Witness Tab
- On each user profile, you can now find a
Witnesstab under theSteemPlusdropdown.
- Clicking on this
Witness Tabwill display the list of witnesses the user has voted for, as well as the total number of votes.
- If you are on your own account, you can also add or remove votes, via a SteemConnect redirection.
- To avoid you wasting your time trying to vote the wrong user, we ve implemented a username verification as well:
Bug fix : SteemSincerity classification on Footer
On post footers, the SteemSincerity classification was pushing the payout value and number of votes on a second line, making it sometimes hard to read. We have corrected this by only keeping the first letter of the category. H for Human , etc.

More witness info including the following :
- List of voters, sorted by number of Vests
- Number of blocks missed
- Blocks mined per day/week/month and corresponding gain
- Witness rank
Extracting these information directly from the blockchain would take too much time, so we are considering using either SteemSQL or SteemData for this, advices are welcome!

Installation procedures
You can download and install SteemPlus directly from the Chrome Store if you are using Chrome (follow this link ).

Thanks! You only need to do it manually if you use Firefox. Otherwise it will automatically update when you close and open your browser (or go to Manage my extensions -> Update)

Not seeing new witness tab in chrome on windows 10, logged out of steem-plus and back in to confirm, still not there, just the same awards, votes and mentions as usual. (mentions never loads for me or I am too impatient to wait for it, one or the other as i get hundreds of mentions per week usually due to the charity project.)

Mentions are delivered by SteemData, so the speed depends on their servers basically, but it is usually quite fast

Yes, most of the features can be used without connecting to SteemConnect, but for the few ones that need posting permissions, it is handled through SteemConnect. We never access your private keys and this since v2.0
