Feature request. Add a feature for replies to messages and disappearing messages in Antox.

in utopian-io •  7 years ago  (edited)

Components

Antox is an open source peer to peer secure multimedia messenger. Antox is an easy to use application that allows you to connect with friends and family without anyone else listening in.

Proposal

I'm proposing that there should be an option to reply back to a message sent by a user.

There should be an option available for disappearing messages in the chat section alongside the other options present

Mockups / Examples

In the image below I've shown an example of how these two options can be implemented.

I've placed them near the options already available for easy access.

Benefits

The benefits of having these two features in Antox are:

  • Whatever you send in a chat to a user will disappear after a fixed time. Some things that you shouldn't have sent to people can come back to haunt you. Having the option of disappearing messages enabled you won't be in trouble anymore.
  • The load of a user can be reduced immensely.
  • The impact of sending a message to a wrong person will minimize.
  • You will be able to receive a timely response from the users.
  • Having the reply back option in signal we can reply back directly to messages and be more specific and hence improve the conversation as well.
    Thanks

Yes it's right but it has the same problem that the other one has and because the suggestion is same the benefits will also be same anyway.

And these are two suggestions and not just one
