Hello everyone,
This is my 4th Contribution for open source project via utopian.io. Today I will share an idea for utopian.io.
If you are new to utopian.io you can get start from @elear post

Utopian.io allows everyone to contribute to Open Source projects and guess what...Busy.org is an Open Source project. That means its codebase is public, accessible by everyone, editable by everyone.

Keep reading to know how Busy.org is rewarding the contributors and how you can get double rewarded sharing your contributions via Utopian.io

A Bot that will give support to approve posts in utopian.io

Developers/Users submit their contribution through utopian.io platform.
If the contribution is not previously submitted and follow all rules moderators approve those contributions.
After doing some contributions and submitting here, some of my contributions also got approved.
Then i got a reply that my contribution is accepted. Nothing special. So why i should contribute through utopian.io not only use github?
This platform can be more interesting for users if approved posts get upvote/support from a bot.
This will surely encourage users/developers to contribute more and more.

Pros

  • Contributor and their contribution amount will increase
  • Contributors will get support

Cons

  • Did you find any? You are welcome to reply this post

Thanks.

Your contribution can't be approved. See the Utopian rules. This is exactly as @mkt wrote. There has been a bot on Utopian that upvotes approved contributions.

You can contact us on Discord.

Ok then if someone randomly find some important bugs/ amazing idea for an open source project. Then he
won't get rewarded from that bot, right?

Why not? I got a vote for some of bug hunting contribution but unfortunately I wasn't given a vote for every one of them. The bot can't vote for everybody. It selects the best posts and tries to vote for as much posts as it can.

Yeah that's what i meant. I was saying every approved post should get atleast small support from bot. For a contributor every single post is best post for him.

This is exactly what the @utopian-io account/bot does. Over 1 Mio. Steem Power have been delegated to this account to raise the upvote worth. Here's a post about it: https://busy.org/utopian-io/@elear/my-first-utopian-announcement-calling-developers-lets-enhance-the-bot
