With the newly added Utopian Upvote Bot Visualizer, Blinkit can now notify you about the bot's activity with light and or sound!

 

Beside that it can be used by Utopian enthusiasts it can also be used during for example a presentation or exhibition to Visually and or audible demonstrate the frequency of Utopian's support towards open source projects.

 

 

Each supported device in Blinkit can be now be used to Visualize Utopian Upvotes!

 

 

 

What is Blinkit?

Blinkit is a notification software that can be used to give regular widely available devices a Steem purpose.

 

Supported devices:

• USB Sticks (with read/write status light)
• Philips hue lamps
• Sonoff smart Wifi switches
• Arduino (tested with Arduino Uno r3)
• Webcams (status LED and picture mode)
• Logitech keyboards, mouse, headsets (newly added)

Blinkit can look for new Steem account Upvotes, Followers, for a user and it can notify on new Posts made by a user. And with this latest version it is now also possible to blink on Utopian upvotes.

More devices and actions will be added in the near future.

Blinkit new features:

• In each device Window there is a Utopian button added to start the Utopian Visualizer
• When clicking on the Utopian button in a device window, it will automaticly preload that device in the dropdown menu "Device to blink".
• Use one of the supported devices to Blink / Visualize Utopian Upvotes.

The device windows, (Arduino, Sonoff, Philips Hue, USB sticks, Webcams and Logitech), now all have the Button with the Utopian icon displayed in the bottom left corner to start the Utopian Upvote Bot - Visualizer.

Part of the bat script code that get started and blinks the selected device.

 

Special thanks to Steem-sincerity @andybets for creating the API and to @oroger for suggesting the web-api, for now this does the job well and there is "just" a consistent delay of 1 min which is usable, but also something to improve on to make close to realtime. (suggestion welcome)

It have taken a bit longer this time to intergrate and test the new features, and a side effect is that this Github Commit is commited at the same time as the light effect.

 

Testing and improvements

If you have one of the supported device, and want to help out with testing it would be much appreciated.

Improvements, there are more Visualizer in the making, for other initiatives that support quality content.
