1Ramp Android Updates -- Drafts, Repost, and Delegation Details

The last major update on 1Ramp was "Live Competition Pools" and after that, all of us got a little busy in the @Steemfest. While we were having a great time at the event, we also learned what Steemians and creators in the community need to express themselves and showcase their work on the Steem Network. That got us started to work on some new ideas and we are excited to bring them out as soon as they are ready.

This update is about small but essential features to get the best out of Steem through an Android application. We are setting the base before rolling out an interesting micro-community building model on 1Ramp as @vikonomics discussed at the SteemFest3.

2. New Features

2.1. Drafts

You can now save your work-in-progress as drafts on the 1Ramp android app. The drafts are not limited to short posts and blogs, the contest creators on 1Ramp will also be able to save their competitions in drafts as well. You can access all your drafts from the "Drafts" tab in the profile section.

2.2. Repost

Everyone knows this feature with the term "resteem" on steemit and "reblog" on busy. We are calling it "repost" on 1Ramp. You can now repost your favorite blogs, posts, and also contests using the 1Ramp app.

We realized that seeing the number of reposts and the list of users who reposted a post is also important and useful. The number of reposts and the usernames of reposters also helps us in understanding the credibility and importance of a post.

Using 1Ramp, you can now see the number of reposts and the list of usernames who reposted a post.

2.3. Delegation Details

"Who delegated to whom?" is a black box on Steem platforms.

From the 1Ramp app, you can now see the list of delegations made by a particular account. Here is a gif showing how you can see delegations made by any user. This is an interesting and useful information to have access to.

You can also see the delegations made by you from your wallet tab in the profile section.

2.4. One Click Delegation Cancel

Earlier, the only way to cancel or take back your delegation was by delegating 0 Steem Power to that username. We simplified this by adding a single button to cancel your delegations. In your wallet tab in the profile section, go to "Delegate" and click on "View my delegations". From there, you can simply review all your past delegations and if needed, cancel them at one click.

2.5. Choose Payout Breakdown

There is now an option on 1Ramp to set the "Author Rewards" type:

• 50% SBD and 50% Steem Power
• 100% Steem Power
• Decline Payout
  

  Instead of adding it in the post/blog editor, we added this in setting page based on the feedback we received from our fellow Steemians. We do not regularly toggle the rewards breakdown and it'd be intuitive to set it once from the settings and change them whenever you want a different kind of rewards breakdown.

  3. Bug fixes and improvements

  • Optimized user search in 'UserSearchPage', 'TransferPage' and 'DelegatePage'
  • Fix notification text and add delegation and drafts
  • Improve network condition check
  • Fix refresh section in the explore section

    5 What's Next?

    5.1. 1Ramp Web App

    Our web app is already up and running and you can give it a try at https://alpha.1ramp.io.

    We'll soon push our latest updates on the web app. In the meantime, try it out and report issues on Github or in our Discord and help us improve the platform.

    5.2. Create contests using 1Ramp's "Competition Pools" feature

    We've built "Competition Pools" on 1Ramp, a complete solution for hosting, managing, and participating in contests. It automates the contest announcement blog, result declaration blog, and everything in between.     The access to host contest on 1Ramp is given on a request only basis to limited accounts. If you want to host your contests on 1Ramp, please fill up this form and we'll get in touch with you.

    So far, we've distributed 58 SBD in prizes in a Photography and a Writing contest. Keep an eye on more upcoming exciting contests.
