This api is awesome, and of huge potential value for communities and apps on the Steem blockchain.
As a post, this was somewhat brief. I would have loved to read more information about the creation of the blacklist projects, about the progression and future plans. This post was clearly aimed for the technically minded, but could have been more elucidating for general readers with a bit more background information.

That’s awesome. I always wanted to share utopian’s blacklist with some projects when I see them promote these users and give them extra permissions without knowing their backgrounds. Say it plagiarism, using multi accounts to increase profits etc. I wonder if there could be more information added like the reason of the ban or a source link about why the user banned. A standardized blacklist with a few more information could take attention of more projects and it also discourage this kind of attempts.

I added an endpoint for the Utopian blacklist a few days ago - could add the reason for why they were banned to that and who they were banned by, but for now will probably keep it like this:

Additional fields was just a quick idea, since every project have their own policies and they may have different thresholds for abusive behaviours. Using multi accounts maybe not welcomed in one project but maybe it doesn't matter in another one. So everyone could benefit from a steem-wide blacklist with a little bit more detailed one I think. Just a thought, maybe as a feature request. It's good as it is right now.
