NewPipe is an open source android app which is an alternative to YouTube. It is simple to use and has some amazing features as well. Some of these include popup feature and background play. It's simple and easy to use video player and a very good alternative for YouTube as well.
Proposal
NewPipe has been created with the purpose of getting the original YouTube experience on your smartphone without annoying ads and questionable permissions.
I want to suggest to add some more features that made NewPipe more interesting and popular these are:
Offline Videos and
Watch Later
These features are enabled in YouTube.

Offline Videos
One major benefit is when you do not have internet connection, then you can watch offline (already downloaded) videos.
It allowing users to enjoy the videos without the worry about slow connections. It also help users to save their data plan because sometimes a person like any video very much and want to see the video again and again, he has just downloaded that video and watch as many times as he want without any tension of data.
Watch LaterBy adding videos to your Watch Later playlist, you can easily access them whenever you want, whether you want to watch them again, or for the first time.
