HEDE: The Wikipedia of our time. [Part Two]

Introduction

Great movie stars, business tycoons, companies and men didn’t become great just in one day and as well didn’t find everything running smoothly always as at every point, there was surely some ups and downs to experience. Hence, this has been same with the Steem platform and its linked bodies as the price of the Steem currencies currently is not at that peak of everyone’s interest. However, this is just a phase of experiencing a down less compared to the earlier moments of the 2018 year when the prices were really high even higher than the British pounds.

Nevertheless, this momentary down as I call it has little or no effects on the dedicated men and women who are vehement in their decision to make this platform a dream come true. However, the users on the HEDE platform are also in this race as despite the rewards which have not much worth due to the Steem value. They are still putting in their best to establish HEDE to a point where it will be standing shoulder high as Wikipedia. Thus, with the newcomers trooping in, they stand a chance of attaining that height only if they understand what their various entries are about.

Sometimes, you may be writing down an entry for the HEDE app and when it gets to a point to fill in the theme for your entry, you go through the different themes and begin wondering what theme you were actually writing on. Now, if someone is searching for a certain topic relating to a particular theme and what is found is a topic under a wrong theme, then, it has given out a wrong information and the person could get confused. This is the reason that one should understand the area of concentration based on your theme before making an entry. You can’t create an entry for treatment of malaria and put it under the theme tagged “People”.

That is a totally wrong information because you are teaching people how to treat malaria and hence, that is to remain under the theme for education. On the HEDE platform, there are quite a number of themes that one can write under so I would deem it fit to explain these themes to we the old users but who have been doing this wrong and also, the new users as a guideline to direct you on the areas of concentration in regards to the various themes as to help in the growth of this decentralized app and the Steem platform in general.

In this post, I would be talking about only five themes used on the HEDE platform which I deem necessary though all are necessary as well.

Themes in HEDE

There exist a number of themes on the HEDE app which are used when one is making an entry and they are listed and explained thus:

ARTS: From the name itself, arts is generally about any form of arts. This is explained in the sense that someone making an entry wishes to write on a particular artwork, place or design. After writing about the artwork, describing the beauty, giving the artist’s or sculpture’s name and all important details and everything else on has to know about the work including year of make, then when choosing the necessities and come across the theme space, then you choose “Arts” as your theme and submit your post. Your work will be added under that theme and if someone is making a search, it would be found under that exact theme.

TRAVEL: When I first started out on the HEDE platform, I was so enthusiastic about writing about beautiful cities in countries in the West Africa region that people would love to visit. Now, I was given the wrong details at the initial time and was writing under the people theme, until when @ercu upvoted one of the posts and in his comment, explained to me how to go about it, the necessary details to give in my entry and the theme under which I should fix them. I had to change my patterns and soonest began receiving wonderful upvotes and commendations from him.

Hence, this is driven at writers making an entry which relates to sights, relaxation places, cities and villas people can relax and have a good time with something to keep both mind and soul together. These kinds of posts are listed under the travel theme as it pertains to travels for people. This is necessary to use so as to help people get that information when they search for travel under the HEDE platform.

Now, one should note that when giving such details, they should be concrete, reliable and mind captivating and not just posts talking about how many people live in the city, when last they took a census, the death and birth rate etc. All these are unnecessary information that is not worthy to be included in the entries made under travel. Travel is for fun, relaxation, comfort, and peace.

HISTORY: This is the theme which pertains to giving information about various historical and past events. This is the section that historians and lawmakers who are searching for an entry to read would come hence, this theme is to be totally true and no make-up. You should not make up stories just because you wish to get upvotes and may feel that the moderators won’t have time to cross-check the post carefully. Therefore, every writer making a true and concrete historic entry should make use of this theme.

BUSINESS: Another great and very important category which must be 100% true and real is the business theme. Everyone is in the run to make cash and if your business functions properly, then you excel but if it runs on a very low management, it would crash head-first.

Hence, when giving business advice on a new business that would give people opportunity to make real cash (True and not scam), business advices that would make a business function effectively, ideas, deals etc. you should ensure that they are not false because one can suffer a heart attack and die when found out to be swindled of his whole life earning and it would be on your conscience whether you were the carrier of the information or the supplier or the creator.

Also, this would give the Steem platform and other decentralized apps linked to it a very bad name when it is found out that it was there the dead obtained his information from. With that not disputing, this is the theme used when one is giving an entry on Business.

EDUCATION: Education is the theme that I enjoy making entries the most on and also reading entries too because you learn new things from different of our talented men and women on HEDE as you also deliver yours too. This theme is centred on any awareness, teaching, explanation, caution, description or knowledge you are dispensing to people on bettering their lives and the ones around them.
One can make an entry relating to cleanliness of the surrounding, body system, creation of objects, repairs and every other kind of teaching that would improve someone. Sex education can also be included but words should be managed as nowadays, young kids below 18 even operate the internet and view things not for their eyes. Also, Education could the parts of talking about parasites who dispense diseases in our regions and ways of combating them.

Now, this Education theme could be a bit confusing because it can explain Health, Food, Programming and Science themes. One should mistake Education with these other themes because Education is like an overview and would give you the full details like how the other themes would do. E.g. There could be an education on how one can contact a sickness and how to cure it or prevent it but under the Health theme, it would be explained the origin of the disease, full symptoms, causes, carriers (if any), dangers, how it can be prevented, maintained or treated and also, an image or two could serve to explain to your readers pictorially.

These are the few themes I deem necessary to press on in this post but in the subsequent parts, I would make a full explanation of the other themes because all themes are necessary, just depends on who needs them at that moment.

Conclusion

When posting an entry on the HEDE platform, one should ensure that first, he understands what he/she is writing about and then, make sure the proper entry is used. Also, it is necessary to give true and accurate information so as not to discredit HEDE and make people see it as a dumping ground for wrong information just for the fun of getting upvotes.

With the assistance of the boss here on HEDE, @ercu and also if we all join hands in order to make this platform functioning as expected of it with concrete and standard information, facts and entries, then in due time, we hope that we would rise back to the top and our currency would top the exchange market with distant values.
