Bug Found on Antox Messaging Application

Expected behavior

Clicking on the friends icon within the chat area of the application is suppose to display the friends info.

Actual behavior

But, clicking on it takes the user back to the conversation list

How to reproduce

  1. Download the application here and install on your device.
  2. Open the application, choose a username and click register.
  3. Go to the menu side, click on the profile and copy your Tox ID and click logout on the menu side.
  4. Click create new profile, choose another username and click register. (Note: the concept of the application is to create a medium of communicating anonymously, thus u can create many different profile with different unique Tox ID. It will all be treated differently, like it was created on another device, and any profile can be deleted anytime) .
  5. Click the "+" sign and paste the Tox ID of the first profile (like it was the Tox ID of a friend with a different phone and in a different country).
  6. Finally, open the new friends chat to send a message and click on the friends icon area up. There is the bug

    Hello,@zinonweke I have read and understood your post But, I am afraid this cannot be considered as a bug As it doesn't fall under any kind of unintended crash or functionality The whole motive of Antox is anonymous messaging and you're requesting it to show a user profile. I think the developer intentionally made it like that. However you are free to add it as a suggestion for the app, But This certainly cannot be accepted as a bug.

      @sachincool thank you for your response. Do forgive me for the delay in replying.

      Antox actually have an option to view user profile. When you click on the three dots on the top right, and click on info. The user profile appears, thus:

      This comes to proof the anonymous nature of this application, as it shows almost nothing about the user.

      I think the developers created a back button:
      back

      To take users back to the chat list. And they intended for this user icon:
      user icon

      To display the user profile above, just like the way whatsapp works.

      But the user icon is now wrongly taking users back to the chat list, instead of displaying the user profile.

      I think such behaviour is unintended and needs fixing. Thanks.
