Google error message when trying to donate to the developer

Expected behavior

I expect that clicking on "donate" will bring up a means of payment to support the developer for his great work.

Actual behavior

Clicking "donate" brings up an error message.

How to reproduce

  1. Download QKSMS from F-droid
  2. Launch the application
  3. Click on menu on the top left of the application
  4. Go to "QKSMS+"
  5. Click on "donate+unlock", an error message comes up.
  • Device: Tecno Camon CX
  • Operating system: Android 7
  • Application Version: version 3.0.5

    There was an issue with F-Droid version. Could you try with the version from Google Play? It is possible that the same problem has occurred again.

      @espoem I think you are right. The Google Play version works perfectly well when it comes to donation. Do you think the developer still needs to know about this?

      Because it seems the first issue was closed, and i'm assuming he (the developer) thought he has solved the issue before closing it.

      I still really think the developer still needs to know that he is losing chances of being appreciated for his work with the error F-droid version gives.

      If you also think the developer needs to know about this, i can edit my report appropriately.

        it is a valid report as the error occurs again in the 3.x version that is on F-Droid.
        it will be more appreciated if you add the below issues together to the github

        • note the PO that the google-play store is still on 2.7.3 after the update.
        • Fdroid still can't use Google in-app billing.
